Cool text generator

"Cool text" is a broad ask, so this page is the full buffet rather than one style: bold, script, glitch/zalgo, bubble, full-width "aesthetic" letters, small caps, strikethrough, upside down, the lot. Type once and skim — different things read as "cool" depending on where you're putting them. For a gaming tag, the bold and full-width styles tend to look the sharpest and survive name fields best. For a bio, small caps and script feel more deliberate than slapping every effect on at once, which mostly just reads as cluttered. For a chat flex, the glitchy and circled styles get the most reactions. It's all real Unicode, so it pastes into Instagram, TikTok, Discord, X, game clients, Roblox, whatever — with the usual caveat that the strictest username fields reject the more exotic glyphs. Pin the two or three you keep coming back to.

How to use it

Type in the box on the left. The style you’ve picked on the right updates as you type — no “generate” button. Click Copy and paste it wherever you need. On the home page you can also browse every style in the list below and click any row to load it into the panel.

Where it renders, and where it breaks

Since this page covers everything, here's the rough portability ranking — useful when an app is being picky and you need a style that'll definitely render.

App / platformWhereStatusNotes
Most reliable everywhereBold (sans), Small Caps, Full-widthWorksThese render in nearly every app and pass the most username/name filters. Reach for Bold sans first when something boxes out.
Reliable in bios & messagesScript, bold script, fraktur, double-struck, monospace, circledWorksGreat in bios, captions and chat. Username fields are hit-or-miss; games often reject the fancier ones.
Combining-mark stylesStrikethrough, underline, slashed, zalgoPartialRender in most chat apps and bios; rendering position varies by device; heavy zalgo gets truncated; games reject them.
Joke stylesUpside down, reversed, spaced, dottedWorksJust characters to most apps, so they travel fine — they're just not for serious use or long text.
Username / @handle fieldsall platformsPartialThe strictest field anywhere. Bold sans is your best shot; many styles won't take. The X @handle won't accept any of them.
Games (Roblox, Fortnite, Free Fire, PUBG…)in-game namesPartialBold, Full-width and Small Caps usually pass; glitch and stacked-mark styles don't. Filters change often — if it bounces, switch to Bold.

All of these are real Unicode characters, not images or font files, so the styling travels with the text wherever you paste it. The catch: a few apps with locked-down fonts will draw some glyphs as empty boxes — that's the receiving app, not the text, and switching styles fixes it. Bold (sans), Small Caps and Full-width render the widest. Checked May 2026; platforms change their font handling constantly, so treat the table below as a strong guide, not a guarantee. The full cross-app compatibility page goes wider.

FAQ

Which 'cool font' works best for a gaming name?
Full-width and bold sans are the most reliable in name fields, and they read cleanly at small sizes. The heavily decorated styles look great in a bio but a lot of games refuse them in the actual username.
How many styles are there?
Around eighty on the site, and they all show up the moment you type — no "unlock" or page limit. Open the dropdown on the right to switch, or click any row in the list below to load it into the panel. Pin your favorites so you don't have to hunt for them.
Can I combine two cool styles?
A few combos exist as their own options — bold italic, bold script — but stacking effects manually usually makes things worse, not cooler. Pick one strong style and let it do the work.
Does this work on Roblox / Fortnite / Discord names?
Discord: almost everything. Roblox and Fortnite: the cleaner styles (bold, full-width, small caps) generally pass their name filters; the glitch and stacked-mark styles often don't. Try it — if it bounces, switch to bold.
What's the safest 'cool' style if I just want it to definitely show up?
Bold (sans). It's the most widely-rendered style here and the most likely to pass a username or game-name filter. It's the one to fall back to when anything fancier shows as empty boxes.
Why does the same style look different on different devices?
These characters are drawn by the device's font, not the text — so script swashes, combining-mark positions and a few glyph shapes vary between phones, OS versions and browsers. The widely-implemented styles (bold, small caps, full-width) vary the least.
