Aesthetic text generator

The "aesthetic" / vaporwave look is mostly one trick: full-width characters, the kind originally meant for Japanese typesetting, which are drawn extra wide so Latin text spreads out into that dreamy, spaced vibe. This page puts that front and center, plus a wide-spaced variant (a e s t h e t i c) that uses regular letters with gaps between them — slightly different feel, sometimes renders better in apps that don't love full-width glyphs — and small caps, which pairs well with the aesthetic style for a calmer, more typeset look. It's a bio and caption favorite: Instagram, TikTok, Tumblr, Pinterest all display full-width text fine. The catch: full-width spaces sometimes get squished back to normal width by an app, and the strictest username fields reject full-width letters.

How to use it

Type in the box on the left. The style you’ve picked on the right updates as you type — no “generate” button. Click Copy and paste it wherever you need. On the home page you can also browse every style in the list below and click any row to load it into the panel.

Where it renders, and where it breaks

Full-width text is well-supported in bios and captions across the apps where the "aesthetic" look actually matters. The two soft spots: username fields, and apps that normalize the wide space character.

App / platformWhereStatusNotes
Instagrambio, captionsWorksFull-width and wide-spaced both display fine in bios and captions. The @username field rejects full-width letters.
TikTokbio, captions, commentsWorksFine — same story as Instagram.
Tumblr / Pinterestposts, descriptions, bioWorksThe aesthetic look is at home here; both display full-width text without issue.
Discordmessages, nicknames, statusWorksRenders everywhere, including nicknames. Full-width is a common Discord name look.
X (Twitter)posts, bio, display nameWorksAll fine. The @handle stays plain.
Apps that normalize the wide spaceanywherePartialSome clients turn the full-width space back into a regular space, tightening the look. The letters stay wide; the gaps shrink. Use Wide spaced (regular spaces) if you need guaranteed spacing.
Username / @handle fields generallyusername fieldsWon't renderFull-width letters get rejected here. Bold sans is the fallback that often passes and still reads bold.

All of these are real Unicode characters, not images or font files, so the styling travels with the text wherever you paste it. The catch: a few apps with locked-down fonts will draw some glyphs as empty boxes — that's the receiving app, not the text, and switching styles fixes it. Bold (sans), Small Caps and Full-width render the widest. Checked May 2026; platforms change their font handling constantly, so treat the table below as a strong guide, not a guarantee. The full cross-app compatibility page goes wider.

FAQ

What font do aesthetic Instagram bios use?
Usually full-width characters — the wide Latin letters borrowed from CJK typesetting. They're not a font you install; they're Unicode characters you paste, which is why they survive in a bio that has no font options. Small caps is the other common one.
Full-width vs. wide-spaced — which looks better?
Full-width makes each letter physically wider, which gives the strongest vaporwave effect. Wide-spaced keeps normal letters and just adds gaps — subtler, and a touch more reliable in apps that handle full-width awkwardly. Try both side by side.
Why did my wide spaces disappear?
Some apps normalize the full-width space character back to a regular space, which tightens everything up. If that happens, use the Wide spaced option (it uses regular spaces) or accept the slightly tighter look.
Does aesthetic text work on TikTok captions?
Yes — full-width and wide-spaced both display fine in TikTok captions and bios, same as on Instagram. As ever, the @username field is the strict one; the bio is safe.
Can I use the aesthetic look in my game name?
Sometimes — some games accept full-width, many don't, and they change filters with updates. If it bounces, bold sans is the fallback that passes most filters and still looks bold.
Is 'vaporwave text' the same as 'aesthetic text'?
Effectively yes — both point to the full-width Latin characters (and sometimes wide-spaced text and small caps). "Vaporwave font", "aesthetic font", "wide text" all land here.
